Julian Bream DVD: My Life In Music

The quote:
"That evening I went to London to play on the radio in Lew Stone's band [...] I hadn't played any commercial guitar music for years [...] this was a terrific challenge [...] my plectrum style was very old fashioned." 35'20"
What I learnt:
JB picked up the guitar after hearing Django Reinhardt, was taught by his dad then played in his dance band, played electric guitar in the army and went to India to play with the sarod player Ali Akbar Khan. I saw JB twice in Brussels and had no idea he mostly played by ear.

Scotty Anderson - Red Hot Guitar DVD

Found this in a bargain bin for £5. Easily the most impressive guitarist I've seen. Chords, lines, tone, execution, it's all there but SA can alternate pick two notes at the same time so cleanly the ear is tricked into believing there's a harmonizer.
